Combine PDFs without sending them anywhere
Merging PDFs usually means contracts, applications, scans of IDs, invoices - documents you really shouldn't hand to an unknown server. This tool merges them inside your browser: the files are read locally, pages are copied losslessly into a new PDF, and the result is saved straight back to your device.
How to merge PDF files
- Drop two or more PDFs above.
- Use the ↑ ↓ buttons to set the exact order.
- Click Merge PDFs and download the combined file.
Everyday merge jobs
Merging is the glue step of paperwork. The recurring cases: a contract plus its annexes as one file for signature, a visa or loan application where the portal wants "one PDF" but your documents arrived as six, a cover letter and CV combined for a job application, monthly invoices collected into a single quarterly file for accounting, and scanned pages that came off the scanner as separate files. The order you add files is the order pages appear, so arrange the list before merging - it is much easier than trying to reorder pages afterwards.
What survives a merge - and what to check
Page content, size, and orientation come through as-is; a landscape page in the source stays landscape in the result. Mixed page sizes are legal in PDF, so an A4 contract merged with a receipt-sized scan simply produces a document with differently sized pages - correct, though sometimes surprising to see. Interactive extras are the caveat: bookmarks, and form fields from the source files may not carry into the combined document, so if a form must stay fillable, merge last and verify.
Limitations to know
Encrypted PDFs need to be unlocked first, and merging very large scanned files produces a very large result - compress the inputs with the PDF Compressor first if the merged file must fit an upload limit.
